Minimal Pairs
We have been working on the sounds that the letters make in words for a very long time-- long and short sounds mostly-- and it is time to really test yourself and see what you have learned. Follow the directions below. Be sure to follow each step!
K-- What do you Know?
1. Test your minimal pair knowledge with the quick and simple quiz by clicking on the link below.. When you are done with the quiz return to this page (the blog) and continue to step #2.
Test Your Knowledge
2. I am sure that you are now aware that pronouncing (saying) each word correctly is important for understanding and comprehension. Minimal pairs are words that are different by one small part or feature. The link below will take you to a listening page, please make sure your sound is on, but not too high! Go through ALL of the lessons (listening pages) and then return to this page and continue to step #3.
Listen and Learn
3. Go to the next site and pick the best answer. Be sure to listen first and then choose an answer. After you are done with all of the links and activities below, get your assignment from Miss Laiza. :)
