Summer is here at last! It was a great year and I enjoyed working with all of you! I hope you all have a fabulous vacation, but remember to fill out those reading and writing journals (summer journals). I look forward to hearing all about your adventures in August.

end of the year fun
yesterday the kids in my reading class were able to turn in their book counts for water-balloons-- balloons that they were able to throw at me. it wasn't the best of weather conditions to be wet and outside, but we still had a blast-- and all of us got wet.
after the water-balloons, some of the kids had their end of the year water party. they were wild-- and having way too much fun! :)

Trip to Besh Barmaq
On Friday the 10-14 year old students made a trip to Besh Barmaq (Five Fingers). It was a "long" ride to the mountain, but the students were entertaining themselves quite well-- either by dancing, singing, playing games, or arm wrestling....
The landscape was gorgeous and the air was fresh. We were all happy to get out of the city.
It was a long climb up the 693 steps, but we all made it to the top... and back down again safely!
